PSYCHOLOGICAL TREATMENT
Rates
Fees are based on a 50-minute hour and depend on the nature of the psychological treatment service provided and the training and experience of the therapist.
| Individual | $205 - $265 |
| Relationship | $225 - $285 |
Psychological treatment services are a privately paid expense. The Ontario Health Insurance Plan (O.H.I.P.) does not pay for these services. Psychological services are a tax-deductible health expense that can be claimed as a medical expense on your personal income tax.
Payment
Payment for each session is due at the time of the session and can be made by cash, cheque, debit, or credit. A receipt will be provided for all payments.
Extended Health Plan
If you, or your partner, are employed, you may have an extended health care plan through an employer. Many of the health care plans pay all or a portion of the costs of seeing a psychologist, psychological associate, or an individual working under the supervision of a psychologist, with an annual maximum. We recommend that you look at your benefits to find out about your coverage.
In most cases, you pay for our services, are provided with a receipt, and then will be reimbursed by your insurance company.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of an appointment must be made at least 48 hours prior to that appointment. Since alternative bookings are unlikely at such short notice, our policy is to charge full regular fees for missed appointments and cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice.
Please note that you will be provided with a receipt that reflects a payment for a missed appointment. This will affect your ability to claim this fee through an extended health benefit provider.
You may leave a message at any time with our staff or on our confidential answering system at 905-836-4555 to notify us of your need to cancel or change an appointment.
PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT
Rates
Fees are based on the specialized psychological assessment needed and reflect the time and attention required for a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the psychological issues.

THIRD PARTY FUNDING, REIMBURSEMENT, & CANCELLATION

Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC): If you are a veteran, you may be entitled to support through VAC. Once an assessment and treatment are approved, fees are billed directly to Blue Cross.
